Why Choose Block Paving

Block Paving is renowned for its exceptional strength and longevity, making it a smart and affordable investment for any outdoor project. Once laid, these paving blocks require minimal maintenance and are built to last for years without the need for frequent repairs or replacements.

Their durability makes them incredibly versatile, suitable for a wide range of applications — from driveways and patios to pathways, car parks, and courtyards. At 50mm thick, our Block Paving can easily withstand heavy footfall and vehicular traffic, providing a stable, long-lasting surface that performs exceptionally well under pressure.

If you’re looking to reinforce an existing paved area, Block Paving can also be used as an effective overlay solution. This method adds strength and protection to spaces such as car parks, driveways, and aircraft aprons, offering a cost-efficient way to enhance both safety and durability.

Beyond its practical benefits, Block Paving delivers timeless visual appeal. Its uniform shape and natural finish create a clean, refined aesthetic that complements both traditional and contemporary garden designs. The Citron Limestone Blocks, with their gentle blend of grey and beige tones, bring a warm, elegant look to any setting. Whether paired with natural turf, artificial grass, or matching Citron Limestone Paving Slabs, these blocks offer a cohesive and stylish finish that elevates your entire outdoor space.

Citron Limestone Block Paving for Your Garden

Transforming your garden with a new patio, border, or hard-landscaping feature is made effortless with Citron Block Paving. Thanks to their smaller size compared to traditional paving slabs, these blocks offer incredible flexibility in design—allowing you to experiment with a variety of creative patterns and layouts to suit your space.

Each block is precisely cut into neat, square shapes, helping you achieve a symmetrical, seamless finish that looks both stylish and well-structured. Whether you’re building a charming stone walkway that adds a cottage-like touch or designing a polished, modern patio, Citron Block Paving delivers the perfect balance of elegance and practicality.

Durable and safe underfoot, these natural stone blocks are ideal for creating inviting pathways and outdoor living areas that look beautiful and remain functional all year round.

Maintaining Block Paving

One of the many advantages of Block Paving is how simple it is to maintain. We recommend giving the area a quick sweep every so often to remove dirt, leaves, and other debris—keeping your paving looking fresh and clean all year round.

If algae begin to build up, a thorough clean should do the trick. For more stubborn patches, try using the Azpects EasyCare Masonry Cleaner, a trusted solution designed to safely remove algae and restore your paving’s natural appearance.

While occasional jet washing is fine for heavily soiled or older areas, we advise limiting this to no more than twice a year, as overuse may weaken the jointing between blocks.

Thanks to its low-maintenance nature, Block Paving is an excellent choice for busy homeowners who want a durable, attractive patio or driveway without the ongoing upkeep. Perfect for anyone who values both style and simplicity.

What is the difference Between Block Paving and Cobble Setts?

The main difference between Block Paving and Cobble Setts lies in their thickness. Block Paving measures around 50mm thick, making it strong enough for driveways, walkways, and other high-traffic areas. In contrast, Cobble Setts are thinner and less suited to supporting heavy loads or frequent use.

Because of their more delicate composition, Cobble Setts are best used for decorative purposes—such as borders, edging, or stepping stones—where they add charm and character without needing to bear significant weight.

Looking after your Paving

Looking After Your Paving

Limestone and Sandstone is a natural stone and as a result of that, the slabs will discolour and change to a slightly lighter shade of blue over time.

However, there are ways to hinder the fading process and in order to ensure the colours remain as fresh and vivid as possible, we highly recommend purchasing a sealer alongside your order with us to ensure the natural colour remains for years to come.

Sandstone and Limestone Differences

What is the Difference Between Limestone and Sandstone Paving?

There are several qualities between Limestone and Sandstone Paving Slabs that are very similar and this is because both of these paving slabs derive from natural stone quarries based in India where large forms of natural stone have developed over thousands of years.

As the more economical option, Limestone is a tad bit more brittle in comparison to Sandstone. But please don't forget that once Limestone has been installed, the durability will be the same as Sandstone Paving, therefore you won't need to worry about the slabs getting damaged.

One factor to take note of is that Limestone will naturally discolour as time passed, whether or not you have applied Sealant to the slabs. And this eventual fading does require some maintenance and TLC to retain the original colour as long as possible. Maintaining the original colours in Sandstone Paving is a little easier in comparison.

We supply a varied range of Sandstone and Limestone Paving that come in different types and styles. We supply Sandstone and Limestone paving slabs in a Weathered Paving version, with Sandstone Paving slabs can also be bought as Sawn Paving too. If you also want matching garden edging or a nice patio paving border, matching Cobble Setts are also available for both Sandstone and Limestone Paving.

Taking all these factors into consideration deciding between Sandstone Paving or Limestone Paving, it really depends on the colours you are looking for, and whether or not you are not bothered about your Indian Limestone fading over time. Both require the same upkeep and have a lovely rustic look to them.

Why Choose our Natural Paving

Our paving slabs are calibrated to a 22mm depth which ensures perfect size consistency, long-lasting durability and high quality when laying the slabs.

These slabs are much more porous than other paving materials, especially when compared to Porcelain Paving slabs. This high porosity is a result of the fact that Limestone and Sandstone are naturally developed stones and because of this they will also show signs of discolouration as well, but fear not! Using a sealer can "lock in" the colour of your slabs for years to come.
