Paving Joints, Answered

Which jointing product suits my paving?

Use EASYJoint for natural stone such as sandstone, limestone and slate, and EASY Grout for porcelain and ceramic paving. Never use EASY Grout on natural stone, where it can cause permanent discolouration.

Can EASYJoint really be applied in the rain?

Yes, it is designed for wet application and works in all weather, even with standing water on the paving. Keeping the surface wet during application actually helps prevent staining and makes sweeping in easier.

What joint size does EASYJoint need?

As a guide, joints should be at least 3mm wide and 15mm deep for the compound to pack in properly and cure into a strong, stable joint. Deeper joints simply use a little more product.

How much jointing compound will I need?

Coverage depends on your slab size, joint width and joint depth, so it varies a lot between projects. Tell us your paving format and area on 01202 874207 and we will work out the number of tubs.

How soon can I walk on freshly jointed paving?

EASY Grout typically hardens within a couple of hours depending on conditions. EASYJoint firms up as it cures, with warm dry weather speeding things along; give it a day before heavy use to be safe.

What colours can I choose?

EASY Grout comes in Crema, Argent, Grafito and Blanco to pair with light, grey and dark porcelain. EASYJoint offers a complementary palette for natural stone, from neutral buffs to slate greys.
