Everything You Need to Know About Verde Decking

What size are Verde decking boards?

Each board measures 148mm wide by 3600mm long by 25mm deep. The consistent sizing makes planning straightforward and keeps cutting to a minimum on most layouts.

How many boards do I need?

As a guide, 10 square metres takes 19 boards. Measure your deck area, divide by the board coverage, and allow a little extra for cuts; our team will gladly check your numbers on 01202 874207.

What accessories complete the deck?

Starter clips and T-clips fix the boards (12 of each per board), bullnose boards finish the leading edges, L-trims wrap step corners, and end caps close off the hollow board ends. All are colour matched to the decking.

What joist spacing should I use?

Set joists at 300mm centres and leave a 10mm expansion gap to let the boards move naturally with the seasons. Predrill oversized holes where trims are screwed for the same reason.

Does composite decking need staining or sealing?

Never. The boards keep their colour without any sanding, staining, oiling or sealing. An occasional wash to clear leaves and debris is all the maintenance required.

Is Verde decking environmentally friendly?

Yes, each board is made from 55% recycled hardwood, 35% recycled plastics and 10% additives, giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste while sparing fresh timber.

What does the guarantee cover?

The range carries a 10-year manufacturer guarantee. Using the correct starter clips and T-clips during installation is a condition of the cover, so order them with your boards.

Is composite decking slippery?

The deep woodgrain emboss gives more grip than smooth or worn timber decking. Keep the surface free of leaves and algae over winter and it stays sure underfoot all year.
