The 20mm Black Ice Chippings are a monochrome fan's dream. These angular chippings are derived from the very popular basalt/marble. As you read earlier and can derive from the images provided, these stones are more of an angular shape as opposed to the commonly found rounder chippings. Being slightly more angular, and the fact that they are 20mm makes them an ideal choice if you want to use them on your driveway or pathway.

These black and white chippings are not only the highest quality Black Basalt and Marble you can find, but they are also incredible to look at. The chippings consist of black and ice-blue stones, each colour contrasting perfectly with each other and in turn making your garden or driveway look luxurious. The Black Ice are a reliable and attractive option that you can trust will look great around your home for a long time.

The Black Ice Chippings, as we have stated earlier, are a great way to make a statement with your driveway or pathway. Living up to its name, the Black Ice Chippings, with the glistening black and sparkling white stones will compliment your home no matter what style it is on. The shades of black and white will pair well with period properties and modern builds alike due to their minimalist look. Simply put, black and white go well with all colours.

What can I do with decorative stones?

There is a myriad of ways you can place Decorative Stones. Decorative Stones can be utilised in your garden to create an effective look. A popular garden design idea is to create a decorative stone feature area at the centre point of your garden to create a focal area. This is a simple and inexpensive way to decorate your garden and add an extra special touch.

A second garden idea would be to lay these stones out on your front patio. If you want to add some character and colour to your front garden without any extensive work, then use these stones to create a brighter and more professional look that will create an excellent first impression for any visitors you get.

Decorative Stones as a Water Feature

If you want to build a pond in your garden or already have one that is a little bit of a fixer-upper, then the natural stones are a straightforward way to elevate your pond or water feature without it being too expensive or complicated. These stones will add more colour and texture to your water feature and encourage wildlife to visit your garden. The brown and red stones allow the natural garden stones to blend in with nature to create a more authentic look.

On the other hand, if you already have a garden feature in your garden that needs a little life breathed into it, you can decorate its surrounding area with decorative rockery to create a feature area and instantly enhance a garden product that you already had but may have been bored of. As a bonus, these stones look fantastic around water features as their colours brighten when wet; you will notice that the stones look glossier and the colours are more prominent compared to when they’re dry.

How to Create a Rockery Water Feature

Many modern households are choosing to have Water Features as a focal point in their garden. Water Features are a great way to create a tranquil, zen-garden ideal for hanging out or just resting right there in your home. Rockery features are an easy way to make this space your own and enhance it to match your tastes.

You can always purchase Water Features, they are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes, however, if you want the satisfaction of building your own water feature, keep reading for your handy set of instructions on how to DIY a Rockery Water Feature

The first step is to make sure you have all the correct tools and materials. Start by getting your hands on a watertight container which you can link to a bucket or keg – this will allow you to create your self-contained pond. If you want to do something simpler, some popular design ideas would be to use big baskets, an old paddling pool or a bathtub. Once you have chosen your vessel, line it with a strong weed membrane for an extra layer of protection, especially if you think your pond has holes in it.

In order to create a rockery feature that looks natural and authentic, you have a varied range of stones, rocks, and boulders at your disposal, which in turn will allow you to create a one-of-a-kind feature in your garden. This rockery feature will ensure that you get lots of visits from the local wildlife and will also give you the freedom to create different designs. One idea could be to build a mini waterfall by placing the rockery in a tiered fashion. This will create a tranquil oasis in your garden where you will be able to enjoy the sounds of flowing water. Browse through our Rocks and Boulders collection that will enhance your feature area further.

Another design idea would be to create a babbling brook in your garden, which is already a very popular design due to homeowners enjoying the sounds of water flowing down a rock formation. In order to build this feature, you will need to purchase a solar-powered pump that will make sure your water is steadily streaming at all times.

In a similar fashion, you may also consider purchasing a solar-powered water fountain, which you will be able to find in a wide range of sizes and prices. To add even more depth and beauty to the area, you can choose to add a fountain to your water feature which will instantly brighten up your garden.

Finally, you may want to create a watering station for the local wildlife, and you need not make this any more complicated than it needs to be. If you are able to procure an old bathtub or paddling pool or a particularly large pot, all you would need to do is add fresh water and some lily pads and you will have a functioning, low-maintenance water feature.
