DISCOUNTED Wessex® Composite Decking, Anthracite Black/Tungsten Grey

Stone Zone & Landscaping Supplies are proud to announce the new arrival of their first ever own-branded Decking; Wessex Composite Decking! This range of Decking supplies comes directly from the manufacturer so we are able to pass on the best prices to our customers.

What makes this Decking stand out from our other ranges of Decking? One reason is that the price point is much lower than Composite Prime Decking and DuoDeck, whilst still obtaining all the high-quality features. This makes Wessex Composite Decking our affordable range of Decking for those on a smaller budget.

Wessex Composite Decking is environmentally friendly in the sense that 87% of its make-up is recycled plastics such as milk bottle tops and various other household plastics. The rest of the decking contains high-quality wood flour which is what makes it a 'plastic decking' that is labelled as a composite product.

How to buy Discounted Wessex Decking

10sqm pack (20 boards) includes 13 starter clips and 260 mid T clips

Wessex Decking in Tungsten and Anthracite

These cleverly designed decking boards feature a realistic-looking wood grain that goes deep into the grooves of the composite wood, they are also dual-sided; one side has an anthracite black colour and the other side has a tungsten grey colour. Having decking boards with two different colours on either side means you get double the value for your money! You can experiment with different coloured trim boards around the border of your decking.

As well as the realistic look of these decking boards, they also come complete with UV inhibitors, which ensure that the lovely colour of your decking will never fade or change over time; you'll always have a new-looking deck for years to come!

The decking boards themselves have a popular, hollow design. Instead of being completely solid throughout, they have small, circular holes throughout the deck boards. This makes the product itself much lighter to carry when it comes to installation.

Grey Decking

Grey Decking makes a great addition to your garden, especially because the colour grey has been widely used in people's homes as well as outside people's homes, so having grey decking would nicely tie this theme in. Grey is a very modern colour that matches well with most garden furniture and other decorative garden features.

Black Decking

Likewise, Black Decking is also highly versatile. Black will match any colour scheme, regardless if it is a warm colour or a cooler colour you like in your garden. It looks particularly impressive when it's wet, as it reaches a striking, jet-black colour.

Wessex Composite Decking for Your Garden

There are many reasons why Composite Plastic Decking has become so popular in recent years; largely because it outperforms traditional timber decking in almost every category. A deck in your garden gives you lots of opportunities to host garden parties and gatherings for special occasions, as well as giving you somewhere to dine outside.

Longer lasting; colours last longer, look better and do not warp, bend or splinter over time.

Low maintenance; no need to paint or stain the colour!

Great value; this range is very comparable to our Porcelain Paving and Sandstone Paving ranges.

Sustainable option and better for the environment; eliminates deforestation.

Looking After Your Decking

Composite Decking is very low maintenance in nature, and will not require colour staining.

We do recommend sweeping your decking every few months to keep it clear of debris and dirt.

What is the Difference Between Porcelain and Sandstone?
When selecting paving materials for your outdoor spaces, Porcelain and Sandstone offer distinct qualities suited to different preferences and requirements.

Porcelain Paving

Porcelain is a manufactured material designed to replicate the aesthetic of natural stone while delivering superior durability and minimal maintenance. Its production involves vitrification, where pure clays and minerals like quartz are heated to temperatures exceeding 1200°C. This process results in:

Durability: Porcelain slabs are exceptionally strong, resisting scratches, stains, and wear over time.

Non-Porous Surface: Being waterproof and resistant to mold, moss, and frost makes Porcelain ideal for wet climates or areas around pools.

Minimal Maintenance: Unlike natural stone, Porcelain retains its texture and color without sealing, requiring only basic cleaning.

Safety: With an R11 skid rating, Porcelain provides excellent grip even in wet conditions, ensuring safety in high-traffic or family-friendly areas.

Modern Aesthetic: Its refined, sleek appearance works well in contemporary garden designs.

Sandstone Paving

Sandstone, a natural material sourced from quarries (primarily in India), exudes a traditional, rustic charm. Its distinctive riven texture and natural variations make it a popular choice for homeowners seeking a timeless appeal.

Eco-Friendly: Sandstone’s porous nature allows rainwater absorption, aiding in natural drainage and potentially reducing flood risk.

Natural Aging: Over time, Sandstone develops a weathered patina, appealing to those who enjoy a vintage or aged aesthetic.

Maintenance: Regular sealing is needed to preserve its colors and protect against weathering. Without sealing, its hues gradually fade to softer, lighter tones.

Traditional Look: Sandstone’s textured finish and natural variations add warmth and character to outdoor spaces.

Comparative Overview

Feature Porcelain Sandstone
Durability High—resists wear, weather, and stains Moderate—requires sealing and upkeep
Maintenance Low—easy to clean, no sealing needed High—regular sealing to maintain color
Water Absorption Non-porous—completely waterproof Porous—absorbs water, aids drainage
Aesthetic Sleek, modern, and consistent Natural, rustic, and textured
Environmental Impact Low water absorption limits eco benefits Supports rainwater absorption
Cost Generally higher upfront cost More affordable, but with ongoing upkeep
Choosing the Right Option
Your decision should align with your aesthetic goals, maintenance preferences, and environmental considerations:

Opt for Porcelain Paving for a modern, sleek look with minimal maintenance and long-term durability.
Choose Sandstone Paving for a traditional, natural vibe with environmental benefits and a rustic charm.
Both materials bring unique advantages, allowing you to tailor your choice to your lifestyle and outdoor needs.

What Do I Need to Lay Porcelain?

You'll also need a joining compound, such as EasyJoint to fill the gaps between your Porcelain Slabs. We'd also recommend adding Porcelain Primer to the back of the slabs to ensure it stays put for years!

How Many Square Meters Shall I Buy?

If you times the Width by the Length of your new patio, you'll get the Square Meterage needed. We'd always recommend adding 10% for wastage and cuts.

How Much Will Delivery Cost?

It depends on where you are!

Delivery is calculated once you go through to your basket.
