How to Install Azpects EASYGrid

Excavate the required area to ensure a level surface

Lay down a layer of Weed fabric to increase stability and stop dirt, debris, or weeds from penetrating through

Then pour in a layer of Limestone Type 1 sub-base where needed to level the entire area. Do not skip this step if you are installing the EASYGrid in a driveway.

The properly prepared layer should consist of (starting from the bottom): soil, weed fabric, type 1 Limestone, weed fabric and then finally the EASYGrid.

Starting at the corner of the area you want gridded, put down the first grid. Make sure that the lugs on the grids are facing the same direction as the area you are gridding.

Then continue installing each grid piece in the same fashion so that the new grid slides nicely into the lugs of the previous piece. Keep going in the direction of the area you want to grid, and to make life easier, you can stand on the previous grid when installing the new one so you can work forwards.

Please keep in mind that we supply Weedcheck Fabric in sizes: 14x1m; 25x2m; 50x2m and Weedcheck Ultra Fabric in sizes: 14:1m, 25x2m and 50x2m.

Stone/Gravel In-fill

If you are going to fill the grid with Stone or Gravel, then you should definitely install a layer of Weed Fabric on top of the Limestone Type 1 layer that will add extra protection and deter unwanted weeds and bugs. Then you are okay to install your EASYGrid and pour out the stone or gravel.

Grass In-fill

Following the same rules as above, lay the weed fabrics and the sub-bases and then once the grid has been installed, fill the EASYGrid with topsoil. This soil can be seeded or turfed; the EASYGrid can manage both. Please remember that the turf might need compressing to make it level.
