The SRM is a Structural Reinforcement Mesh comprising 2 layers of the VubaMac Urethane Binder Course and adding a high-strength resistance and support structure to the base.

What is VubaMac?

VubaMac is a flexible, ultra-durable, and eco-friendly base system, purpose-built for resin bound surfacing. Unlike conventional sub-bases, it’s designed to form a monolithic bond with the resin bound top layer—when installed within the recommended intercoat period—creating the first truly integrated resin bound system.

For best results, install the complete VubaMac system (including the resin-bound surface course) at:

36 mm for pedestrian use
50 mm for vehicular use

Step 1: Begin by installing the VubaMac Structural Reinforcement Mesh in your chosen area. This mesh comes in 130 sqm rolls, available from Stone Zone. Before purchasing, calculate the total square meterage you need to ensure full coverage.

Step 2: Lay down a Urethane Binder Course, made up of High Strength Railway Ballast, UV Polyurethane Resin, and Binding Quartz. The depth of this layer depends on the intended use of the surface:

15 mm for pedestrian areas
30 mm for vehicle access
35 mm for commercial applications

Step 3: Once the Binder Course is in place, add a second layer of mesh. This provides extra durability and ensures all materials are securely compacted.
