Product Description

DALTEX 90° Bound is a specialist, four-part resin kit developed to deliver improved performance on vertical and sloping surfaces, including steps and walls. It allows you to create a seamless finish, helping vertical areas match the appearance of the surrounding horizontal resin-bound surface.

Formulated as an extremely thixotropic version of our market-leading DALTEX Performance UVR Resin, it offers excellent workability on vertical applications. The UV-stable formulation helps maintain the finish over time without discolouration.

Coverage

One kit covers approximately 1m² or 5 linear metres, assuming an average step depth of 200mm.

Coverage will vary depending on aggregate size, surface conditions and application thickness. Applying the product at greater thicknesses will reduce the overall coverage.

Application Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Surface

Ensure the vertical surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material before application.

Step 2: Mix the Primer

Thoroughly mix Primer Part B into Primer Part A until a consistent blend is achieved.

Step 3: Apply the Primer

Using a trowel, apply the primer evenly across the vertical surface, ensuring full coverage. Stipple the surface with a paintbrush or similar tool.

Important: Do not allow the primer to cure before applying the resin-bound stone mix.

Step 4: Mix the Binder

Thoroughly mix Binder Part B into Binder Part A until the mixture is uniform.

Step 5: Add the Aggregate

Add the aggregate to the mixed binder resin and mix thoroughly until all stones are evenly coated.

For the best visual match with the existing surface, use an aggregate size of 1–6mm.

Step 6: Apply to the Vertical Surface

While the primer is still wet or tacky, trowel the resin-bound mixture onto the prepared surface.

Apply at a thickness of 5–6mm. The thickness can be increased to a maximum of 15mm; however, this will reduce coverage.

Step 7: Allow to Cure

Leave the system to cure fully. Curing times will vary depending on ambient temperature and site conditions.
