Azpects Easy Joint, Stone Grey, 12.5kg tub
EASYJoint is a pioneer in the landscaping industry, by developing the original sweep-in jointing Compound. EASYJoint is still the best truly "All Weather Paving Joint Compound" available and produced in the UK. Over the years it has been proven that the EasyJoint is a favourite amongst homeowners and landscapers, and we think it's because of its affordability and ease of use.
This Stone Grey jointing compound is a light brown colour with subtle darker spots. It's a great option for light brown paving, beige paving, cream paving, buff paving and many more.
Along with Stone Grey, the EasyJoint is available in a number of other colours, therefore you can use the one that suits your garden paving the best.
Other available EasyJoint colours: Mushroom Grout, Buff Sand Grout and Basalt Grout
Also available to pick up from our depots in Ferndown, Bournemouth, and Dorchester, or Christchurch with prior notice.
Please note: EASYJoint is NOT recommended for use on driveways or areas with heavy vehicular traffic
Why Use Azpects Grouting?
EASYJoint paving grout or jointing compound is a very straightforward, effective and visually appealing way to fill joints between paving, whether it is natural stone paving (such as Sandstone or Limestone) or Porcelain Paving. It is appropriate for all types of garden paving slabs provided there is a gap of at least 3mm wide minimum. We would recommend 5mm for the optimal joint, with a depth of 25mm (narrow joint compound).
As stated, the EASYJoint is easy to use – simply soak the garden pavers with water before commencing and then simultaneously sweep the jointing compound into the joints, letting the water take the strain. It can even be done by those who may not have a huge amount of DIY experience.
How to Use EasyJoint (Natural Paving)
As we have mentioned above, it is easy to use EasyJoint to add grouting to your paving. We have created a small and straightforward guide to help you start, especially if this is your first time using this product.
Step 1 – First you need to assess your paved area and measure to ensure that the joints are at least 3mm wide minimum, we recommend 5mm, and 20mm deep.
Step 2 – If your paving is made of natural stone, such as Sandstone and Limestone, then you need to make sure you soak the area before you begin. A hose pipe will do the job, or a watering can.
Step 3 – Once the paving is thoroughly damp, pour out the EasyJoint onto the paving.
Step 4 – Add water to the grout to create a slurry.
Step 5 – As you are watering the compound, start sweeping it into the joints. Be quick when doing this because you don’t want the compound to dry out. We suggest you work with a 2nd person so one person can do the sweeping while the other is on water-pouring duty.
Step 6 – Don’t be shy on the Easy Joint, if you have used up all the product, pour more onto the paving and start all over again and ensure that all gaps are filled. Be diligent if you are doing this project when the weather is warm because that would lead to the compound drying more quickly.
Step 7 – Once all the gaps have been filled. Go over the paving surface with another spray of water to wash away any grout residue, not only will this make the entire area look clean, but it also helps to compress the compound further.
Step 8 – Finally, use a pointing tool to smooth over the jointing and give it a professional look.
Is EasyJoint Suitable For DIY Use?
Yes. EasyJoint is designed to be quick and easy to apply, making it a popular choice for homeowners and trade professionals alike. It can be applied while the paving is wet and does not require specialist pointing equipment, helping to simplify the installation process.
