We have some exciting news we have been desperate to share with you all: our Sand and Gravel Collection Yard is now open! If you are looking for hassle-free aggregate collections, look no further than our Collection Yard!
After spotting a huge gap in the market for straightforward, loose aggregate collection bays in the Ferndown and Wimborne area, we at Dorset Soils & Aggregates Ltd made the decision to build one ourselves!
The perfect spot became available within the Ferndown Industrial Estate, not far from our Stone Zone depot, and so we took that opportunity as soon as we could. After months and months of planning and construction, our Collection Yard is open for business!

Aggregate Collection Bays
To make the process as smooth as possible, we operate our collection bays in three simple steps.
Step 1
Drive into the Collection Yard and drive your vehicle onto the weighbridge.
You will see our ticket office beside the weighbridge, where Andy will be available to speak to about the aggregate you are looking for and the amount.
Step 2
Drive up to the relevant bay to collect your aggregates. Our yardsman, Bob, will be operating our Manitou machine, which can weigh out the right amount of aggregate for you. He will then tip the aggregates onto your vehicle.
Step 3
Drive back to the weighbridge for the final weights of the product(s), where you will give your ticket to Andy and be able to make payment.
Waste Tipping in Ferndown
If you have any mixed inert waste or hardcore waste you would like disposing of, we accept this waste at our Collection Yard.
We charge two different prices depending on whether you have a small tipper lorry or a 7.5 tonne tipper; you will be quoted a price upon arrival.
Please note: a Carriers Licence will be required for waste disposal, unless it can be proved that the waste originates from your private residence.
Aggregate Collections in Ferndown
Our Sand and Gravel Collection Yard is just off Cobham Road, towards the end of Whittle Road. Please see some guidance below.
If you are coming from the traffic lights, Whittle Road is on the right-hand side, just after the Caterpillar building and just before the Subway you will notice on the corner.
If you are coming from the A31, Whittle Road will be on your left, just after the Subway on the corner.
Once on Whittle Road, the Yard is straight ahead at the end of the road (on the bend).

Frequently Asked Questions
Can everyone collect Aggregates?
Yes! Our Collection Yard is open to the public and to trade customers! As long as your vehicle is equipped to hold the amount of aggregate you require, you can use our Collection Yard as and when you need to.
How do I apply for a Trade card?
If you are part of the trade and do not have a Trade card, you could be missing out on an exclusive 10% discount off most products, plus seasonal sales and updates. Simply email sales@stone-zone.uk or call 01202 874207 for more details.
Do you carry out loose load deliveries?
We do! Our lorries can deliver between 1 and 20 tonnes of any of our loose aggregates! This is not available online, so please call our friendly team on 01202 874207
