Available Block Paving Size
Mixed sizes: 150mm x 150mm, 150mm x 200mm, and 150mm x 250mm.
Why Choose Block Paving?
There are many reasons why people opt for Block Paving within their home. One reason being how durable the paving stones are, especially when it comes to heavy footfall or cars. The 50mm thickness makes for a perfectly stable base if you were to use these for a driveway that holds multiple cars on.
Ethically sourced and environmentally-friendly; Sandstone is a natural stone that is found in India; a stone that has actually been around for thousands of years! By choosing a Natural Stone Paving such as Sandstone or Limestone, it eliminates any manufacturing process that involves using lots of resources and electricity, making for a slightly more environmentally-friendly option.
Sandstone Block Paving is long-lasting and low maintenance. These calibrated Block Pavers need sealing at first, with Azpects EasySeal Stone Sealer & Protector. Once this is done, there is very little maintenance involved; occasional sweeping of debris is recommend, and you could also jet wash the paving to keep the colour looking brand new.
Block Pavers are also an affordable driveway or patio solution, especially when compared to some of our more premium Decorative Chippings. It's easy to work out the amount of Block Paving you need, and you only need the sub-base and one layer of Paving. Whereas, when it comes to laying garden stones like Shingle, you need a sub-base and very thick layer of stones.
Lastly, Block Paving comes in many colour choices, including Grey Block Paving, Black Block Paving and Beige Block Paving. There are also two natural stone options, as well as 20mm Porcelain Cobble Setts which are a very similar alternative.
What is the Difference Between Block Paving and Cobble Setts?
The biggest difference between Block Paving and Cobble Setts is that Block Paving is 50mm thick and therefore can be used for walkways and driveways which is not possible with Cobble Setts that are much thinner and so cannot withstand the weight and too much traffic. As a result of their more delicate nature, cobble setts are best utilised as borders and stepping stones and decoration rather than a heavy-duty functional paving method.
