What is the Difference Between Sandstone and Limestone Paving?

One notable difference is that Sandstone retains its original colors well over time, while some shades of Limestone may naturally fade, even when sealed. If you opt for Sandstone paving, you’ll also have a wider range of options, including smooth Sawn finishes. For example, Kandla Grey Sandstone is available in a Sawn version, often referred to as Sawn Shadow Kandla Paving.

Another distinction is that sealing Limestone is often necessary to preserve its color, while sealing Sandstone is optional, though it can still offer added protection. This makes Sandstone a lower-maintenance option, especially if you want to retain its natural look.
