How to Install VUBA SRM in Your Garden

Installing Structural Reinforcement Mesh (SRM) in your garden is a straightforward process that enhances stability and helps prevent cracking in surfaces like pathways, patios, or resin-bound systems. Here's a step-by-step guide to installing SRM:

Prepare the Area

• Mark the area where you plan to install the SRM, such as pathways, patio bases, or around garden features like manholes.
• Excavate the area to the required depth for your project. Ensure the surface is level and free of debris or loose soil. You may need to compact the ground using a plate compactor to create a solid foundation.
• Install the sub-base, typically a layer of compacted aggregates or gravel. Ensure it's evenly spread and compacted to form a solid foundation. This is crucial for drainage and structural stability.

Lay the Reinforcement Mesh

• Unroll the SRM over the prepared area. Make sure it is laid flat and free of wrinkles or folds.
• Cut the mesh to fit the area if necessary. A utility knife or scissors can be used to trim around edges, garden features, or tight spaces.
• Overlap sections of the mesh if more than one piece is required, ensuring a minimum overlap of about 100-200mm (4-8 inches) to maintain continuity and strength across the surface.
