Yellow Mint Paving (Sawn Tallow Fossil) looks beautiful within any landscape or garden. It has been paired with our Scottish Pebbles and has also been laid as a garden patio for al fresco dining and entertaining. This paving stone also contains a slight sparkle in the light which really enhances your outdoor space and looks very impressive. If you are looking for more variety, we have a number of sawn Porcelain Paving slabs, they are Sawn Rainbow Sandstone Paving, Sawn Shadow Kandla Sandstone Paving, Sawn York Grey Sandstone Paving and finally Sawn Sorrel Rippon Sandstone Paving These premium paving slabs are finished with smooth, regimented edges which have been achieved by machine cutting and precise calibration. The stone then goes through a polishing process for an extra smooth finish, which gives off a very shiny effect when the paving is wet. Charlie Says: We recommend laying our sawn paving slabs on a full mortar bed and slurrying the back of the stone as you would with porcelain paving. The Tallow will need sealing as soon as it's laid to ensure the colour is looking its best. We also suggest laying this paving in a sunny spot of the garden that isn't obstructed by trees. Once you have sealed your paving with Azpects Easy Seal, you can be confident that the stunning colour of your paving will be maintained. It's good practice to clean your paving every six months with a hose or jet washer to keep your garden patio clear of any debris and dirt. We have an extensive collection of Sawn Porcelain Paving, with the Sawn Tallow being one of the most in-demand products. These paving slabs are, for the majority of the time, the sawn edition of some of our most loved Natural Paving slabs. As a result of the Sawn Tallow being a natural Sandstone product, they are also acquired from Indian stone quarries, as the rest of our natural stones, which are then cut into smaller segments to be made into the paving. The Sawn collection has to undergo some extra steps in order to ensure the colour and texture of the slabs are as vibrant and crisp as possible, enabling you to create a bright-looking patio. Sawn Tallow Fossil has to be sawn, what this entails is that the slabs are machine cut, which leads to the edges and corners being extremely smooth and straight, enabling you to create a more uniform look when you install them. They have also had the top and bottom sides cute ensuring extra smoothness. This is a stark contrast to our regular Sandstone and Limestone Paving which are riven and textured for a more authentic look. These sawn slans have also been honed. This means that they go through a polishing stage to further even and smoothen out the top surface. This results in the natural colours of the slabs shining through and making the stone stones look polished and streamlined - they look especially attractive when wet. As far as strength and durability go, there are no advantages or disadvantages because they will be the same as the other Sandstone Paving ranges we supply. These extra steps are simply for cosmetic reasons and for ease during the installation purposes as the slabs will be in perfect shape. Please keep in mind: We also supply a manufactured, Porcelain Paving version of our popular Sawn Tallow Fossil Paving slabs. This is a more affordable option and requires significantly less maintenance! Click here to view our 'Natural' Golden Fossil Porcelain Paving. Sandstone and Porcelain Paving are very different types of paving stone. With Sandstone Paving being naturally formed, you will get more colour variations and a natural look. Porcelain Paving, however, will rarely vary due to them being manufactured. If you are a fan of a more traditional, rustic look we highly recommend the Sandstone Tallow Paving. Whereas, if you prefer a modern look, Porcelain Paving would be the better choice. Please be aware that over time Sandstone Paving will fade naturally as the weather will cause changes to the surface texture and colour. If you prefer something that retains its colour and texture, Porcelain Paving should be the one you choose. Porcelain is able to retain its colour much better due to it being manmade.Read More...
