Create a simple pond; as long as you have a water tight container, you can pretty much upcycle anything to create a self-contained pond! Some people have used old paddling pools or even old laundry baskets, if you're using something that has holes in, you just need to make sure it's lined with some tightly-woven geo fabric. 

A natural rockery; If you really want a water feature that, not only looks great in your garden, but offers something for the wildlife too, work with a variety of Rocks and Boulders to create a multi-levelled rockery. Larger Scottish Cobbles are also available which would look great within any rockery. 

Babbling brook; What really makes a water feature is the fact you can hear water gently trickling along, or even water spurting out heavily. Whatever effect you'd rather create in your garden, invest in a solar-powered pump that will run the water through the feature so you can enjoy it even more.  

Solar-powered water fountains are also readily available at a range of prices and sizes. If you really want your water feature or pond to have the wow-factor, adding a fountain will give it the look and the soothing sounds that your garden will enjoy all year round. 

Water for the Wildlife; sometimes, simplicity is more effective. Why not consider upcycling an old, metal bath tub or even an old oven pot and adding some fresh water and some lily pads as a low-maintenance water feature? It will give the birds something to take a drink from and have a bath in too!
