Golden Fossil Sandstone Paving
Our Golden Fossil Sandstone Paving is one of our best-selling ranges of Natural Stone Paving, for those who prefer a bright garden patio with completely unique, natural markings across the paving slab. This is another range of Indian Sandstone Paving which we get direct from our trusted, Indian quarries. Getting our Paving Stones direct means we can pass on the best prices to our customers.
The most interesting aspect of these garden paving slabs is the fern fossils found in some of the stones; these have been formed thousands of years ago and make for a really impressive-looking garden patio! These beige paving slabs contain gorgeous golden colours which transform any front or back garden into a bright and beautiful area to spend time in.
To ensure an even consistency, high quality and high durability, these paving flagstones are calibrated. Our Gold Fossil Sandstone has a higher porosity in comparison to manufactured Porcelain Paving, this is due to the fact that these paving slabs are a naturally-formed stone. Because of the nature of the material, it will allow moisture to penetrate and will weather naturally over time.

Our popular Golden Fossil Paving Slabs have been used in various garden projects; customers love this range of natural paving because of its versatility. It can be incorporated into a traditional, English country garden that contains lots of scented flowers, or a modern garden that still wants a garden feature with a natural aspect to it. To make sure the colour of the paving remains looking as new and fresh as possible, we strongly suggest you use Azpects EasySeal Enhancer & Sealer, this acts as a useful layer of protection from the weather and any spillages that may occur. To keep your Sandstone free of any dirt and debris we advise that you jet wash your paving every 6 months. We get asked this question many times by customers. As they are both naturally-derived from stone quarries in India, Sandstone Paving and Limestone Paving share many similar qualities. It is vital to note that, Sandstone is slightly more hardwearing when compared to Limestone, as Limestone is slightly more brittle. Sandstone Paving is able to maintain its original colour to a certain degree, provided Sealer has been used regularly. On the other hand, even once a sealer has been used on Limestone Paving, the colour over time will fade to become lighter. Here at Stone Zone, we offer a big range of paving options for Sandstone paving and Limestone, such as Sawn Sandstone options that features a much smoother finish, and weathered paving ranges which are perfect for aged or period properties. Sandstone and Porcelain Paving are significantly different types of paving slabs. As we have mentioned before, Sandstone Paving slabs are naturally formed stones from thousands of years ago, and are available in a limited number of colours. Alternatively, you get many different finishes and a larger variety of colours with Porcelain Paving due to their manufactured make-up. The overall look and finish of the two is completely different. Sandstone Paving has a riven surface and Porcelain Paving has a smooth surface. Although they both have non-slip features. If you are a fan of a more traditional, classic look we highly recommend the Sandstone Paving. Or if you prefer a more chic, modern look, you'd be better off with Porcelain Paving. Please be informed that over time Sandstone Paving will fade naturally as the weather will cause changes to the surface texture and colour. If you prefer something that retains its colour and texture, Porcelain Paving should be the one you choose. Porcelain is able to retain its colour much better due to it being manmade. A final aspect to take note for Sandstone Paving is that it involves a little more maintenance, as sealing is usually required to maintain a nice colour. If you don't have the time to maintain your garden patio, Porcelain Paving would be more appropriate is it only requires a jet wash every 6 months. If you like the look of Golden Fossil Sandstone Paving, but like the sound of Porcelain Paving more, check out 'Natural' Golden Fossil Porcelain Paving - this is an outdoor porcelain paving tile which has been designed to replicate the colours of the natural Sandstone original!Read More...
