Low Maintenance & Long-Lasting Environmentally-Friendly Child & Pet Friendly Installing Wessex® 'Verde' Composite Fencing is an easy process, and we’ve put together a helpful guide to make it even simpler. If you're not confident with DIY projects, consider hiring a professional landscaper for the job. But if you're ready to take on a new garden project, our step-by-step guide will assist you every step of the way. These instructions are specifically for installing your fence on soft landscaping, such as grass. Tools and Materials You Need: Measure and Plan: Start by measuring the desired height and length of your fence, then calculate the height for your posts accordingly. Dig the Holes for Posts: Using a spade, dig holes for the fence posts. The holes should be deep enough so that approximately 182.5cm of the post is above the ground. Add Sub-base: Before inserting the fence post, pour Type 1 Limestone into the hole. This helps to prevent the post from sinking over time. Position the Post: Place the post in the hole and use a spirit level to ensure it is straight and plumb. Secure the Post: Pour concrete around the post, making sure it's level. Repeat this process for all posts and leave them to set. Install the Bottom Rail: Once the posts are set, start with the bottom rail. Slide it down into place at the bottom of the posts. Insert the Fencing Boards: Begin sliding the Wessex® 'Verde' Composite Fencing boards into the rails, making sure they are level as you go. Continue inserting the boards until the entire section is filled. Install the Top Rail: Once all the boards are in place, slide the top rail over the posts to complete the fencing structure. Finish with Post Caps: Finally, secure post caps on all the posts to enhance stability and protect the posts.Read More...
