With its dark colour and stylish finish, Sienna Black Porcelain Paving is great for people that are looking for a smart garden patio which can be enjoyed through warm days. Sienna Paving has also been used for indoor flooring in kitchens and bathrooms, due to these porcelain tiles being easy to install. Porcelain and Sandstone Paving are entirely different types of paving stones. Porcelain Paving is a manufactured stone that has been created to replicate natural stone paving, with slightly superior qualities compared to natural stone. This particular Porcelain Paving has been manufactured to a high standard where it has been vitrified. Vitrifying is part of the production process and means it is made from high quality pure clays and minerals such as Quartz, fired at 1200 degrees Celsius, which guarantees high durability and very little absorption. This is sometimes compared to as 'glass-like'. Vitrified Porcelain means it will be completely non-porous and water proof as well as resistant to mould, moss and frost. It also maintains its R11 skid value, being non-slip and safe for pool surrounds. Sandstone, alternatively, is a completely natural stone that comes from quarries in India. This stone will be naturally porous and let water through the slabs. Some might say that this makes Sandstone paving a slightly more eco-friendly option, as it will absorb rain water, preventing the cause of floods. However, Porcelain Paving needs very little maintenance, it will stand the test of time in terms of it's looks and will not change in colour or require sealing. Sandstone will require regular sealing to prevent the colours from fading completely, but will naturally change colour in the sun over time. Read More...
