Ice Rose Chippings 20mm
Part of our premium Decorative Chippings collection, it’s easy to see why Ice Rose Chippings are one of the top choices in our Decorative Stones range.
Our 20mm Ice Rose Chippings combine red, white and pale yellow, creating an understated yet elegant look. These garden stones are perfect if you want to add subtle colour to your garden while maintaining a refined style. They catch and reflect sunlight, adding a glittering, sparkling effect. Ideal for modern properties with neutral tones, Ice Rose Chippings work beautifully in garden borders or pathways.
These rosie chippings have an angular shape, and their 20mm size makes them perfect for driveways or garden paths. However, they are not suitable for fishponds, as they are not fish-friendly.
Made from marble gravel, each stone features delicate marbling and a natural shimmer, making them a great choice for those seeking something a little more special in their outdoor spaces.

How to Install Chippings on your Driveway
Laying 20mm Ice Rose Chippings for a driveway is a relatively straightforward DIY project, and with some experience, you might even be able to complete it yourself. Here are a few tips to help you get started.
First, it's important to create a stable base for your garden stones. We recommend using Limestone Type 1, also known as MOT Type 1, which is a graded 40mm limestone, ideal for creating a strong foundation.
Start by measuring your driveway or the area where you plan to lay the stones. Once you have the dimensions, determine how much base material and decorative stone you’ll need. We suggest preparing a base layer with a depth of 50mm.
When digging out the area for your driveway, ensure the depth ranges from 50mm to 150mm. This will allow space for both a 50mm layer of Limestone Type 1 and a 50mm layer of Ice Rose Chippings.
After digging, spread the Limestone evenly across the area to a depth of 50mm. This will create a solid, well-drained base for your driveway.
We also recommend laying down Weed Fabric over the limestone layer to prevent weeds from growing through the chippings, keeping your driveway looking neat. We stock Weed Fabric in various sizes to suit your needs.
Once the base and Weed Fabric are in place, you’re ready to add your Ice Rose Chippings. Ensure the layer is 50mm deep for a clean, polished finish.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to our Decorative Stones being a naturally sourced product, there will always be some variation from batch to batch, especially in terms of colour. On occasion, your garden stones may be very dusty; we recommend hosing your new stones down to wash them and reveal their true colour.
Sample stones are also available in-store, please ask a customer advisor.
