Carbon Square Edge Limestone (22mm Calibrated)
The Carbon Square Edge Limestone paving exudes shades of charcoal colour and turns a beautiful black when wet. If you want to add some dramatic colour to your garden, we cannot recommend the Carbon Square Edge highly enough. The deep charcoal and black shades will add a very chic atmosphere to your home.
To guarantee that all our Natural Stone paving slabs are consistent, long-lasting, durable and of the highest quality, they are all calibrated to 22mm thickness.
We source all our Sandstone paving and Limestone paving stones direct from trusted suppliers based in India. We do this to ensure that we can offer our customers the best prices possible.
As these garden paving slabs are derived naturally from stone quarries, they all come in slightly varied shades. Due to this, they are more prone to slight weathering and colour changes over time as well.

If you want a style to your garden that is natural and minimalist but with just the right amount of shebang, then we recommend Black Limestone Paving. Not only are limestone slabs beautiful but they are durable and long-lasting, making them both form AND function. The Carbon Square Edge is a well-liked option for various projects as they look beautiful as garden patios for both front and back gardens, and will also look aesthetically please in around businesses like cafe courtyards, restaurant interior and many more! There are also a range of Decorative Stones that would go really well with this paving. As we have explained earlier, all the natural stones that we supply are brought over from stone quarries in India. When these paving slabs are produced they come in large pieces of rock, which are then required to be cut down to size by hand. The case is a little different when considering Square Edge paving; rather than being cut by hand with a rougher edge, the edges for these paving slabs are machine sawn. What this process ensures is that edges are sleek, smooth and consistent across all the paving stones. Because of the clean look created by this method you can achieve a much more uniform and sophisticated look for your patio. This does make Square Edge paving a slightly more pricier option. Limestone and Sandstone Paving do share some similar aspects as they are both derived naturally in Indian quarries. Generally speaking, Limestone Paving tends to be a more brittle, softer stone than Sandstone. However, our Square Edge Limestone is the exception to this. With its machine-sawn finish and perfectly calibrated manufacturing process, it is equally as strong as Sandstone, if not stronger. Limestone Paving generally has the tendency to fade quicker than Sandstone Paving. We would always recommend sealing Natural Stone Paving slabs with Azpects EasySeal Limestone to preserve the colour and even bring it back to life after a year or so. In terms of maintenance, this remains the same between the two different types of Natural Stone Paving. Both will need to be sealed every year or so to keep the colour looking fresh, and will need to be swept and possibly jet washed to prevent debris from settling in. There are some differences of note between Limestone and Porcelain Paving; the significant one is how they are created. As we have mentioned above, Limestone paving is derived naturally in quarries whereas Porcelain Paving is manufactured; and because of that Porcelain Paving consists of completely different qualities. If you want to give off a more understated and characteristic look we would recommend the Limestone option, but if something a bit more vibrant and sleek is more to your style then Porcelain Paving is the one you should go for. Due to Porcelain tiles being manufactured, you have far more colour options and patterns to choose from. As you may be aware, Limestone will gradually weather over time, with the colour and surface texture fading slightly. On the opposite side, Porcelain paving slabs are much better at retaining their colours and textures due to them being manmade. Finally, do remember that Limestone Paving requires some upkeeping; you will need to seal it to preserve the colour and jet wash it every 6 months to keep it in top shape. Whereas maintaining Porcelain Paving is a breeze because you only need to hose it down twice a year. In need of some garden inspiration? Check out our exclusive online Garden Visualiser tool!
