Installation Tips

One of the many advantages of CORE Edging is that it can be installed in your garden after the rest of the garden features have been put into place. This indicates that you are not required to re-lift or displace any edging for further support.

When you connect the Edging lengths together, there is a 75mm overlap per edging, therefore in our 5-pack, you end up losing around 375mm of length in total. You will see that once an entire pack of CORE Edging has been installed and connected, it results in 5 linear meters on the ground. The edges have an expanding clip and galvanised rebar which means that they are very straightforward to install and it enables you to add further reinforcements by another 300mm.

After the edges are joined together, the edges can be put in place as one, long, flowing length. This will make it much simpler for creating unique and curved shapes around your garden. The durable and sturdy connection between the edges ensures that the connection is as smooth as possible, made even more resilient by the double-locking tabs.

Applications of CORE Edging

There are several garden design ideas that can be enhanced by the inclusion of CORE Steed Edges, and one of the most common methods is to install them as path edgings in your garden. If you have designed your garden to have a pathway (of Natural Stone or Porcelain Slabs) that flows down the centre of your garden - on an area with Turf Grass or Artificial Grass, the CORE Edge will create a distinct and crisp line that will separate the pathway from the rest of the garden features, creating a more defined and professional look.

On the other hand, if you have laid Porcelain Paving or Sandstone Paving slabs in your garden, CORE Edging will allow you to create a clean border enabling you to highlight the paved area further. Edging is also an effective way of keeping weeds away.

A third garden design idea for using CORE Edges is for protecting your plant beds. If installed properly, the edging lengths function as a retainer for the soil. If you choose to have plant or vegetable beds surrounding your garden, you can use the CORE edges to keep it separate from the rest of your garden rather than investing in Wooden Sleepers. This means that the CORE Edges is a useful tool to keep your Soils and Mulches away from the remainder of the garden.

Finally, CORE Edging is a very effective border for your garden. If you have either Artificial Grass or natural Turf Grass installed in your garden, the CORE edging will help in creating a feature area out of your turf area and enhance the space further. Remember that the flexible nature of the CORE edging means you can install it as a tree ring, and then paired with Decorative Stones, you will have an easy yet beautiful garden feature.

BRIGHT ZINC GALVANISED 

Our unpainted galvanised finish is the most economical edging option!

The raw steel is coated with 20-micron galvanised zinc to increase its durability and longevity.

The galvanised zinc coating will make the steel more resistant to rusting when exposed to heavy weather and the outdoors in general.

POWDER COATED 

Our galvanised steel edgings are coated with a 110-micron polyester powder layer that is specifically developed for external use.

This powder coating is electrostatically applied to the Edging, which is then cured in severely high temperatures that allow the powder to form a 'skin'. This results in a durable, hardy edging that has superior strength compared to other coating methods like paint.

CORE-TEN

The Core-Ten is our highest-rated weathering steel that has a distinctive look with natural, oxidised colouring. Weather steels refer to a segment of stee alloys that were manufactured to no longer need a coat of paint, which then leads them to form a rusty appearance when they get exposed to the rain and outdoor element.
