As previously mentioned, Aquaflow Aggregates are exceptionally suited for enhancing drainage beneath hard landscaping areas, mitigating the risk of standing water and flash flooding during inclement weather. This characteristic makes them particularly popular for use beneath Artificial Grass, where they facilitate efficient water drainage through pre-drilled holes in the turf, allowing rain particles to permeate and filter through the permeable aggregates. Moreover, Aquaflow Aggregates serve as an excellent sub-base material for Block Paving applications. While traditional Block Paving tends to be semi-permeable, Porcelain Block Paving lacks this property. To address this, many Landscapers employ permeable jointing compounds like EasyJoint to enable water penetration through the joints. Incorporating Aquaflow into the sub-base further facilitates water filtration through the joints and the Limestone Aggregates, reducing the risk of flooding significantly. By utilising Aquaflow Aggregates in landscaping projects, professionals not only ensure effective drainage solutions but also enhance the longevity and sustainability of the surfaces. Whether it's preventing water accumulation beneath Artificial Grass or maintaining permeability in Block Paving installations, Aquaflow Aggregates offers versatile solutions that meet the evolving needs of Landscapers and contribute to resilient and durable landscaping designs. In the realm of large-scale construction endeavours entailing the installation of comprehensive waterworks piping systems, the utility of Aquaflow Aggregates becomes apparent, owing to their permeable attributes and inherent durability. Alongside sharp sand, Builders commonly employ graded Limestone Aggregates to establish a robust foundation for pipe bedding. This not only ensures sturdy installation but also facilitates gradual water infiltration, aiding in effective drainage management. In contemporary urban planning, the implementation of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) has emerged as a governmental mandate aimed at mitigating the impact of flash flooding. Aquaflow Aggregates play a pivotal role in this context, offering versatile solutions for managing excess rainfall. In residential settings, they are strategically deployed around homes, serving as a means to intercept and redirect surplus rainwater. Additionally, on a broader scale, Aquaflow Aggregates are integrated into the periphery of building developments, particularly in areas prone to flooding, such as the base of slopes. By harnessing the permeable properties of Aquaflow Aggregates, construction endeavours not only address immediate drainage needs but also contribute to long-term resilience against adverse weather events. Their deployment in waterworks projects ensures both structural integrity and sustainable water management practices, aligning with the evolving demands of modern construction standards and environmental stewardship. Thus, Aquaflow Aggregates emerge as indispensable components in the arsenal of tools utilized by Builders to navigate the challenges posed by urban development and climate change. SUDS, short for Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, are increasingly integrated into building proposals in urban areas lacking sufficient green spaces for effective drainage. Our Aquaflow Aggregates are certified as SUDS compliant, owing to their natural material composition. These systems emulate natural processes to manage water drainage in and around properties and development sites. By slowing and retaining excess water, SUDS facilitate the natural breakdown of pollutants, allowing filtered water to replenish the groundwater. Varieties of SUDS include source control, site control, and regional control. The advantages of SUDS encompass water pollution prevention, flood risk reduction, and groundwater replenishment, thereby aiding in drought prevention. As a result, SUDS implementation is poised to become mandatory in all major new developments, ensuring sustainable water management practices in urban environments.
