When revamping your garden, looking through all the different choices can feel like a minefield. Whether you’re taking on the project yourself, or hiring a Landscaper to help, transforming your garden is a big task. Below are some helpful FAQs from our customers to help make the decision a bit easier for you.
Can you give time slots for deliveries?
We are unable to give specific time slots for deliveries, however, we can give you an exact date and an indication of whether it will be in the morning or afternoon. With your permission, we can also deliver when you’re not there.
How much does collection/delivery cost?
Collection to our Ferndown, Bournemouth and Dorchester depots is free and we will email you when your order is available.
Our local delivery varies depending on what product you purchase. As a rule of thumb, an £18 delivery charge is applied per bulk bag/crate load. Our sleepers and decking, however, are free local delivery.
We offer nationwide delivery to non-local customers. This is £55 per bulk bag/crate load. Please click here to read more about nationwide delivery.
Any next day or Saturday deliveries will have an extra charge depending on your location.
What postcodes come under your local delivery?
If you are local to us, you get the best delivery rates, with some products including delivery in the price! Our local postcodes include all BH postcodes, most SP & SO postcodes and some DT postcodes. Click here to view the full list.
What is your returns policy?
We accept returns of any product within 28 days of purchase. Proof of purchase must be provided and the returned items must be unused and as sold. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the product. You can view our full terms and conditions here.
Can I take a sample away?
Yes. We understand that you may want to take a sample of paving or stones to place in your garden to double check the colours. We offer samples of almost any of our products, we can't send these out to you so please get in touch to collect a sample from one of our depots.
Can you recommend a Landscaper in my area?

Do I have to be there for my delivery?
We can make deliveries even when you're not there if you're happy for us to do so. If we are delivering loose products on a driveway, you must have signed the indemnity form. More details on delivering loose aggregates can be found by clicking here.
Do you sell paving in split crates?
Yes we do, you can buy them in sets of 5 square metres on our website but if you call us on 01202 874207 or visit us in-store, we'll happily sell as little as one paving slab.
What are the benefits of a Trade card and how do I apply?
If you have a Trade card, you can claim an exclusive 10% off all products (except sale items). You get a priority phone number you can call to avoid joining a queue and you can enjoy a hot drink at any of our depots.
To apply, simply call us on 01202 874207 or visit your nearest store to sign up. You must have a ltd business to be eligible.
Can I spread the cost of my purchase?
The Stone Zone & Landscaping Centre offer PayPal credit, allowing you to spread the cost of your purchase up to 6 months. You can apply for PayPal credit at the checkout section of our website.
Do you dispose of waste?
We dispose of over 80% of waste including green waste, inert waste, soil waste, wood waste, plastic waste and plasterboard. We have a Jumbo Bag Away service where you can purchase one of our bags, fill it with waste and arrange for collection. Click here to find out more.
For larger loads of waste, we have a Grab Away Service where you can leave a pile of waste outside the front of your house, and arrange one of our lorries to come and collect it. Click here to find out more.

Do you price match competitors?
We proudly price match like-for-like products with like-for-like local companies within a 15 mile radius. If you've seen the same product cheaper elsewhere, please call us on 01202 874207 and we will look into this for you.
If I have more than one crate of paving, should I lay the slabs from one crate or randomly from different crates?
If you’ve bought sandstone or limestone, it’s best to randomly take from different crates because of the colour variance. If it’s porcelain, take from the same crate and ensure the batch numbers match as these should all be uniform.
Do you provide laying guides for the patio packs?
Yes we do, please find our Sandstone laying guides here and our porcelain laying guides here. You can print these off to then work from them throughout your project.
Is Porcelain Paving slippery?
All of our outdoor porcelain paving achieves the UK minimum requirement of an R11 skid value. Floor surfaces are measured between R9 and R13, R11 value means this will maintain good grip when wet, making it suitable for pool surroundings.
