Jurassic Grigio Porcelain Paving
The Stone Zone Porcelain Paving range is an extensive and ever-growing collection of the highest quality garden patio slabs and to add further variety to our paving range we are delighted to show off our brand new Jurassic Porcelain Paving collection. The Jurassic Porcelain Paving collection has all the handy and modern aspects that are commonplace in all the Porcelain patio slabs we supply; they are hardwearing, long-lasting and have a non-slip skid rating of R11, making them the perfect choice for commercial areas, like office receptions or domestic areas like a garden patio or the area surrounding a swimming pool.
Our new Jurassic Porcelain Paving range boasts 5 versatile shades and textures that have taken a lot of inspiration from Natural Paving stones. The available colours within this collection are Jurassic Scuro, Jurassic Grigio, Jurassic Azure and Jurassic Quartzite. These classic colours will allow the creation of a wide range of designs as they are all classic colours that are easy to pair with. This range contains slabs that fall into the categories of beige paving slabs, grey paving slabs and black paving slabs.
As the 'Jurassic' name suggests, this garden paving collection has been heavily influenced by Dorset's Jurassic Coast. This collection has been able to emulate the look and feel of the Jurassic Coast and the plethora of natural stones and rockery it has contained since the Jurassic era. This pre-historic design imitates the look of sedimentary stones like Sandstone alongside metamorphic stones such as quartzite and marble. If you look at the paving slabs, they contain more than one shade of colour on each slab rather than just one colour - this was deliberately done to further enhance the 'natural stone' effect.
Stone Zone takes great pride in the Porcelain Paving we supply and we work hard to ensure that anything we provide to the customers is the best quality garden slabs available. The Jurassic Porcelain patio slabs are developed by mixing together precious minerals such as pure Clay and quartz, which are then blasted through a 1400-degree Celsius kiln. This results in durable and long-wearing paving slabs.

Whether you are thinking about installing a garden patio on your garden or want to design a paved outdoor dining area, it is not always easy to decide between Porcelain Paving and Natural Stone Paving. Keep reading to learn more about the differences between each paving option so you can make an informed decision. The most obvious difference between the two pavers is the way they are manufactured. Porcelain Paving is created and developed in factories after which the slabs have designs and colours printed on them, ensuring that there is full control over what each slab will look like. As we have mentioned before, each slab is made from sought-after materials such as Quartz and Pure Clay which are mixed together with other minerals to create hardwearing slabs. These Porcelain patio slabs have been specially designed to porcelain patio slabs that will last you for decades without discolouring. Porcelain Paving slabs boast both form and function. While they are manufactured they are heated in a kiln where the temperature reaches 1400 degrees Celsius, after which they get put through high amounts of pressure to make sure that the garden slabs are durable and long-lasting and will not show signs of wear and tear any time soon. These slabs are made to endure heavy foot traffic and all types of weather without chipping or discolouring. On the other hand, Natural Sandstone and Limestone paving slabs are pavers that develop naturally in large pieces that have been around for millions of years. These naturally occurring paving stones are cultivated in Indian stone quarries where they are cut to useable sizes. Natural Sandstone paving slabs enable you to design a garden that is a little more rustic and a call back to gardens that were designed around the 80s and 90s. Many homeowners enjoy the fact that their patio design cannot be replicated because of the nature of Sandstone paving. We think Sandstone looks particularly effective surrounding period properties - it adds to the authentic feeling of such properties. If you are more focused on installing paving slabs that are more hardy and stable then you may not want to consider Sandstone, especially if Porcelain Paving slabs are an option. As we explained earlier, Sandstone is cut down into smaller pieces, and because of this they become more brittle and runs the risk of cracking much easier than Porcelain Paving - this can also impact the stability of your natural stone patio. Furthermore, please note that Natural stone patio slabs are not UV stable which does mean that they lose the vibrancy of their colours as years go by. Finally, an important distinction between Natural stone paving slabs and Porcelain Paving is that they require vastly different maintenance, depending on how much work you are willing to put in. When installing Porcelain Paving you have required an extra step that is not needed for Sandstone - priming. By priming the porcelain slabs you are taking away the need to seal them, and the only upkeeping you need to do is to sweep the paved area regularly and jetwash it twice a year. Conversely, natural stone paving slabs need sealing regularly in order to prevent the stones from discolouring. Please take into account that even with careful sealing, your natural stone slabs will fade to a lighter shade over time. Sample slabs are available in-store, please ask a customer advisor.
