Jurassic Quartzite Porcelain Paving
All of us here at Stone Zone is very proud of being able to expand and add more variety to our Porcelain Paving range, and with that in mind, we couldn't be happier to introduce our new Jurassic Porcelain Paving collection to our arsenal. The Jurassic Porcelain Paving collection boasts all the contemporary and versatile features that all our Porcelain Paving slabs possess; they are durable and can withstand the test of time with a non-slip skid-rating of R11, which makes them an affordable and visually appealing choice for homes and more professional settings.
The new Jurassic Porcelain Paving collection encompasses 5 diverse designs that have been heavily influenced by the shades and textures of Natural Stone paving slabs. The colours within this collection are Jurassic Scuro, Jurassic Grigio, Jurassic Azure and Jurassic Quartzite. Within this range, you fill garden paving slabs that contain beige paving slabs, grey paving slabs and black paving slabs.
As you can tell from the name of the collection, the designs of the slabs have been strongly inspired by the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. They have done so by emulating the look of natural stones, rockery and boulders that were present during the Jurassic era. This has resulted in paving slabs that emulate the look of sedimentary stones like Sandstone along with metamorphic stones such as quartzite and marble. These garden patio slabs have been designed to more than just one solid colour and instead have been printed to have markings and variations in shades to create a more authentic look.
We are always very careful and thorough with the Porcelain Paving we supply and make sure our slabs are of the highest quality. The Jurassic Porcelain paving slabs are manufactured by heating, at 1400 degrees Celsius, a mixture of Quartz, pure Clay and other natural minerals which develops into hardwearing, durable garden paving slabs.

If you are considering a paved area for your garden and are finding it difficult to choose between Natural Stone and Porcelain Paving, we can put forward features and factors that will help you figure out which garden feature fits your garden the best. The biggest difference between Porcelain and Natural Stone paving is how they are developed. Porcelain Paving is manufactured in factories that then have designs printed on them, giving the designers control over the colour and patterns. As stated above, Porcelain paving patio slabs are developed from a mix of high-quality minerals such as Quartz and Pure Clay which are thoroughly mixed together. These materials have been specifically used to create garden slabs that are durable and long-lasting. Porcelain Paving slabs are more than just beautiful. During the manufacturing process, each individual slab is heated to 1400 degrees Celsius and put through immense pressure to ensure that the patio slabs have strength and longevity and that they will not easily show signs of age and will definitely not discolour, no matter the weather or how much foot traffic it gets. On the contrary, Natural Stone and Limestone Paving garden slabs are stones that occur naturally in large formations that pre-date us by thousands of years. Natural Sandstone and Limestone are found in Indian stone quarries, which upon cultivation are cut to smaller sizes. Natural Indian Sandstone allows you to create a natural and antiquated garden patio, with a one-of-a-kind colour scheme and pattern that can never be repeated. If you have a slightly older property or want to go for that kind of vibe, then Natural stone garden slabs are the best option. If durability and strength are more important to you, then Sandstone may not be the ideal choice, especially when compared to Porcelain Paving. Due to Sandstone slabs being cut from larger pieces, they are far more brittle and easier to crack than Porcelain; their stability is inhibited due to this as well. It is also worth knowing that Sandstone and Limestone paving slabs are not UV stable which does lead to the slabs fading as time passes. To conclude, it is vital that you are aware of one of the biggest differences between Natural stone slabs and Porcelain patio slabs is how much upkeeping they require. When being installed, Porcelain Paving needs priming - the only extra step they require. This means that they don't need sealing, and just regular sweeping and a jetwash every 6 months. On the other hand, Sandstone and other natural stone slabs need regular sealing which is necessary to keep the colours of the paving slabs from fading. But do take note that even with regular sealing natural stone slabs will still discolour and change to a softer shade as years go by. Are you looking to completely re-vamp your garden?
